What is ERP? ERP stands for Enterprise Resource Planning. It is the software
system that keep today's businesses running. Most companies that have multiple business functions have an ERP
system. For ERP systems to function properly they must work in harmony with the functional day to day activities
of the business.
An ERP system contains many functions for commonly understood business overflows. Some common includes: payroll,
human resources, accounts payable, general ledger, accounts receivable, purchasing, inventory, material requirement
planning, shop floor control, sales orders, forecasting and more. It's not uncommon for some ERP system to contain
75 or more of these business functions.
